How we view things is a matter of perspective, right? What we see depends on where we place our focus.
We may focus here:

Or here:

So, when 2 boys come at you with 2 cans of silver spray paint, and the younger one suggests they draw “a really nice picture for you on the side of the house, you’ll like it,” this is probably the time you look around the yard, spy the red and just a tad rusty wheelbarrow and say, “Paint that, will you?”
Okay, so I had that conversation yesterday with the boys. Not you. But to get to the point…
When I look at that wheelbarrow, I see a house not painted. My Man sees … well, to use his words when the setting sun sharply reflected off the silver and into his eyes, “Hey…guys? Why is the wheelbarrow silver?!”
“Art,” I shrugged. “You know.”
Could someone please explain perspective to him?
I’m busy shoveling chicken manure into a pretty cool-looking wheelbarrow.

Pretty cute, Lori!
Hi! I just came upon your site via your ‘snowbound canuck’ comment on Stefani’s blog – I’m in the same boat (wheelbarrow?) and had to find out where you are. I’m happily perusing and enjoying your blog! 🙂
Hi,
If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need.
