In a moment of discouragement, I scribbled on a paper, “Realize how brave you are.”

I wrote it again, and I have that one on my bulletin board.

It’s easy to get discouraged. I have to fight it often, as I’m a fairly scatterbrained person and usually unsure of what to do. I always “want to do the right thing,” but knowing what that is, can be very tough! Should I spend my time doing this? Or that?
And if someone close to me gives me – or even seems to give me – disapproval, I am then completely unsure what to do!
So I write myself notes. I have bits of paper here and there – some on my wall closet, some on my bulletin board, a couple of them in the kitchen, many in my journal. They say things like
Deuteronomy 31:6, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Here’s to choosing to be brave for the next hour. With me?
