People think I have a lot of time since I blog and photograph and sometimes craft.
I have the same amount of time as you do.
We generally think other people have time we don’t have.
Everyone has the same amount of time.
We think we don’t have enough time.
You have as much time as anyone else; you have enough time.
I have as much time as anyone else; I do have enough time.

It all boils down to priorities. What is important to us? What do we want to fill our hours doing?
I want to blog and photograph and sometimes craft after the chores and schooling and bill-paying and other drudgery (sometimes it is!) tasks are out of the way. Those things, the pursuing my interests things, charge me up and make me a happier (better) mama and wife. I’ve learned to do my daily chores/tasks quickly so I can get to at least one of my interests every day.
What do you want to do with your time? What do you do with your time?
A challenge: Today, yes, today, a busy day when you “don’t have time for this,” set a timer if you must and spend 15 minutes pursuing an interest. Learn about it on the Internet, draw it out, jot it down, or pull out those dusty old materials or tools and start doing it.
I think you’ll find, as I have, that you’ll feel you have more time, not less, when you spend time filling your spirit. The opposite is also true: I feel I have less time, not more, when I spend time on things that drain me.
I LOVE your outlook on time and I totally agree we all have the same amount of time. So….let’s see if I take up your challenge will I read, sew, write, swim or talk to you on the phone!! Love you daughter dear
My dad use to say, “What do you mean you didn’t have enough time, you woke up with the same 24 hours I did”! It’s all in how we choose to use it, right? How easily we can forget. I usually spend at least 15 minutes a day checking out my favorite blogs. :)
What a blessing to read this blog entry – I so needed to hear it to stop me from moaning and bemoaning about my lack of time to pursue my interests – why do I feel guilty when I do take some time?! You’re right – it refreshes my spirit and I need to make it consistent to keep me happy and able to give to my family’s needs instead of letting their needs consume me till there is nothing left. Thank you for the reminder!
This is a wonderful post.
So true – we all have the same amount of time, it is just about priorities.
Thanks for the challenge/inspiration.
