From a basket of inspiration…

…from this cotton yarn, these bamboo needles, a bit of dark chocolate, and (much) guidance from a knitting friend…

…comes my first knitting project that involves more than one type of stitch in one color of yarn.
(yes, I was a scaredy-cat for so very long)

It helps to have an admirer peeking at me. He thinks I can do it.
Yes! It’s finally finished, but –yikes – will it fit?

It’s gorgeous!!! She looks so cute in it. OK, you have so much to teach me.

Wish I’d have pulled it down on her forehead a bit so you could see the pointy-point. It’s a perfect point for a pompom!
Oh, and I think I actually knitted this thing at least 4 or maybe 12 times, if you count all of the stitches pulled out and redone. I’m still not sure if it’s right, but 4-year-olds don’t care about silly things like perfection!
This hat is precious!
I LOVE the pictures of our angel with the beautiful hat!!
